Earlier this year, DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond appointed Commissioner Patrick to the county economic development authority, Decide DeKalb. CEO Thurmond stated, “I am honored to appoint Commissioner Robert Patrick to the Decide DeKalb board, his local government experience, knowledge of economic development and commitment to public service will benefit all of the county.”

As the first DeKalb commissioner to serve as a liaison between the Board of Commissioners and Decide DeKalb, it is my hope that my knowledge and experience as a city planner, coupled with my previous roles as a city councilman, Vice President, and President of the DeKalb Municipal Association will prove beneficial to the Decide DeKalb board and the residents of DeKalb County.
