Annual Economic Impact

I am honored to represent one of the county's largest economic engines. The economic activity that is gained from PDK Airport spans not only across Georgia, but across the US.  It is the airport of choice for corporate executives, emergency, and healthcare support.

About PDK

DeKalb-Peachtree Airport is located in Chamblee, eight miles northeast of downtown Atlanta in DeKalb County. The airport is in close proximity to US Highway 23 and Interstates 85 and 285. DeKalb County, with a population exceeding 700,000, has a diverse economic base, with employers in healthcare, education, manufacturing, retail, construction, trade finance, engineering, and management. DeKalb-Peachtree Airport is located one mile south of Chamblee. The airport has an air traffic control tower and four runways. The longest runway, Runway 3R/21L, measures 6,001 feet in length; this runway is equipped with a precision approach.

Commissioner Patrick Makes Appropriations Request for the New Construction of PDK's Administrative Building

Built in 1934, PDK's general administrative building, which also serves as a terminal, is in desperate need of an upgrade. During the 2023 Congressional Legislative Session, I put in an appropriations request to assist PDK with this project.
