CEO THURMOND APPOINTS COMMISSIONER PATRICK TO DECIDE DEKALB BOARD

In 2021, DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond appointed Commissioner Patrick to serve as the first County commissioner to the Board of Directors of Decide DeKalb, the County’s economic development agency. In this role, Commissioner Patrick will serve as a liaison between the DeKalb Board of Commissioners and Decide DeKalb, work on tax incentive and other policies as well as assisting in setting the direction of economic development in the county, 

BLACKHALL EXPANSION BRINGS 2400 JOBS TO SOUTH DEKALB

The Decide DeKalb Development Authority unanimously approved an incentives package that will help make Blackhall Studios the largest film production complex in the state — and fuel an expansion project marking the largest-ever investment in the southern end of the county.

PEPSICO TUCKER EXPANSION IS ONE OF THE COMPANIES LARGEST FACILITIES

The $260 million expansion is adding 136 new jobs to the plant. Advanced manufacturing capabilities will be incorporated into the plant to increase production by five times in the next five years.
