The Water and Sewer Rate Town Hall, a highly anticipated public meeting, was held on Tuesday, November 12 and hosted by the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners’ Public Works and Infrastructure Committee. The meeting was chaired by Commissioner Robert Patrick, with committee members Commissioner Michelle Long Spears (District 2) and Commissioner Ted Terry (District 6) also in attendance. Additionally, Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson also attended the meeting. A primary concern raised by residents—both those attending in person and virtually—was affordability, as well as the potential requirement for condominium and multi-family housing complexes to install individual water meters.
